Equality

 

For my presentation I chose this picture, you might be wondering why, well because as you can see there are 2 people of different genders, the pink a woman and the blue a man each on both sides of the scale and this shows how equal they are to each other.

 Since it is balanced they are both equal and they are the same in status. This shows us that men and women are the same even if they get higher pay or more attention.

This ensures that whoever you are or wherever you were born that you get a fair chance at everything no matter what color, race, or culture.

 This photo also means that men and women can do whatever they want that includes Sports, job applications and opportunities because some people think that only men can do certain things such as jobs because they can manage it and they dont expect women to do as good or even better, but they can if they have enough enthusiasm and experience. because they're as good as anyone and can conquer anything. Well this is the end of my presentation and before I end it does anyone have any questions...

 We have been learning how to do a reading responses for the past term.

Title of the text - Whangarei’s lawn mowing good samaritan found.

Summary of the text (4-6 sentences) 

In whangarei 19 of september 2020 there is a young man named Nikau Munroe Rawiri it was his birthday and his day started at work. He accidentally put a staple through his finger and winded up in hospital not expecting to be on TV as a good samaritan.

He would go out of his way to help random people and one of them was an 81 year old lady to mow her lawn, she was very capable but he insisted. On that same day he was driving to his mother's house when he saw a lady mowing her lawn on a hot day so he stopped his car and hopped out ,fighting with himself to decide to leave or help.  

The key idea in the text - SEXY paragraph

S I think the key message is you should always help people in need.

E By this I mean when you see someone struggling you should help them.

X For example He offered to mow the lawn for an old lady on a hot day

Battling with himself, mind saying to go but heart saying to help.

Y in my own life I have offered to help my mum with cooking and offer chores 

What can we learn from the text?

I learnt that you should help people in need.

How to be Cybersmart online

The meaning to cyber smart is knowledgeable in computers, highly skilled with computers. Step 1. have a hard password so that hacker's cant hack you. Step 2. don't share your password with anyone or you'll have consequences. Step 3 Don't go on inappropriate sites that are 18+. Step 4 Don't send bad pictures or videos to anyone or you'll get in trouble Step 5 make sure that your devices are clean and that people can't steal your information.
